📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters

In the global GX context

Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 decarbonization and green hydrogen push matters for global transition finance and energy trade, offering a Gulf-state case of oil-dependent economies diversifying under climate pressure. It adds a non-OECD, petro-state perspective often missing from TCFD/ISSB-centric disclosure scholarship.

📄 Abstract(原文)

This article examines the evolution of the renewable energy industry in Saudi Arabia, with particular focus on the 2020–2024 period. It analyzes the legislative and financial incentives that support the sector, including the National Renewable Energy Program, green financing mechanisms, tax exemptions, and subsidy reforms. Using statistical data and a SWOT framework, the study highlights Saudi Arabia’s solar and wind resources, robust financial capacity, and strategic Vision 2030 targets as key strengths, while identifying structural vulnerabilities such as economic dependence on oil and a lack of skilled labor. The findings confirm rapid solar expansion and emerging wind energy growth, alongside the country’s ambition to become a global leader in green hydrogen production.
